We are fortunate to collaborate with 3,000+ of the greatest chiropractors in the world as we shape the future of the best profession out there.
The Early Days: From an Idea to a Groundbreaking Solution
The idea of ChiroUp was sparked by Dr. Bertelsman’s frustration with a patient’s failed care. Dr. Bertelsman had seen a patient who had stopped seeing him. When he reached back out, his patient told him that she wasn't feeling any better, so she wasn't going to come back, and that she was going to see her medical doctor.
This experience exposed the need for better diagnostic tools. As chiropractors, it’s extremely difficult to stay up-to-date with the latest research and apply everything to our diagnostics and the way we treat hundreds of conditions.
There had to be a better way—a way for chiropractors to streamline and gain the confidence they need to ensure that they are giving their patients the best possible care.
The Story Behind Our Name
Our name comes from a powerful message by chiropractic leader Dr. David Flatt, inspired by a bumper sticker that read, “Are you going to cowboy up or just lay there and bleed?” When challenges arise in our practices & careers, we have a choice. ChiroUp equips you with the tools to face these challenges, grow your practice, engage patients, and deliver results that matter.
Key Milestones Over the Past 10 Years
2011-2014: The Birth of ChiroUp
ChiroUp’s journey began in 2011, driven by the vision to enhance the chiropractic profession through better diagnostic tools. This passion led us to create our first protocol, setting us on a mission to uplift the field and empower practitioners. In December 2013, we welcomed our first advisory board members, bringing invaluable insights to our mission. By September 2014, we had released Version 1 of ChiroUp. Just a month later, we celebrated another significant milestone—sponsoring our inaugural ChiroUp seminar in Indiana, where we welcomed our very first subscriber.
This moment marked the exciting start of our commitment to supporting chiropractors and advancing the profession we all cherish.
2017-2019: Building the Team and Expanding Our Offerings
ChiroUp was growing rapidly, which led us to bring on our first full-time employee and continue to expand our team.
This pivotal decision brought new energy to our mission and helped us serve our community of chiropractors even better. Just two years later, in January 2019, we launched Version 2 of our platform. This upgrade propelled ChiroUp to new heights, expanding our capabilities and enhancing the user experience, making it easier for chiropractors to access the essential tools needed for exceptional care.
2021-2023: Innovations and New Ventures
In 2021, we took another significant leap forward with in-house development, unveiling Version 3 of ChiroUp. Our community continued to grow, reaching 2,200 chiropractors across more countries and welcoming new team members dedicated to our mission.
In 2021, we also released a comprehensive study analyzing 631,970 clinical diagnoses from the ChiroUp network. The results were remarkable, showcasing exceptional chiropractic outcomes and patient satisfaction.
By January 2023, we embarked on the exciting development of our highly anticipated EHR system, demonstrating our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our valued subscribers.
2024: EHR Launch and Beyond
Our Essentials product is now utilized in 18 countries, underscoring the global impact we’ve made within the chiropractic community. Now, as we celebrate our 10th anniversary, this year marks a pivotal chapter for ChiroUp. In August, we proudly launched our highly anticipated EHR system, starting with seven early adopters, and more practices are currently joining the onboarding process.
We’ve heard your requests for a faster, smarter EHR—one that seamlessly integrates best practices into your daily workflow. That’s why our new EHR is designed to streamline every aspect of patient care, from scheduling to SOAP notes, billing, and beyond.
